Hanning Chen received the B.S. degree in mechanical design and automation and the M.S. degree in computer software and theory from Yanshang University, Qinhuangdao, China, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in 2009 from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He is now an Assistant Research Fellow in Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His current research interests are in the area of biologically inspired computation and the application of these techniques for the problems in the areas of engineering, economics, and life sciences.
