Christophe Casteleyn obtained the DVM degree in 2005 at the Ghent University, Belgium, with great distinction. In 2008, he finished the M.S. degree in laboratory animal science with the greatest distinction. In 2010, Christophe obtained the Ph.D. degree in veterinary sciences at the Ghent University, Belgium, by successfully defending his dissertation entitled “Morphological characteristics of the ovine tonsils: a study of their volume and surface area, lymphoid tissue organization, lining epithelia and vascular architecture”. On October1, 2011, Casteleyn joined the Research Group of Applied Veterinary Morphology at the University of Antwerp as an Assistant Professor. He has teaching experience within the domain of gross veterinary anatomy, histology, pathology, and immunology. His current research deals with the immunological effects of different feeds and feed additives on the porcine gut-associated lymphoid tissue. In addition, as an anatomopathologist, Casteleyn is involved in many collaborations.
