Judith Usall, M.D., obtained her B.S. degree in medicine from the University of Barcelona in 1988, and specializing, by a residence, in psychiatry in 1992 at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. She also obtained her Ph.D. degree on gender and schizophrenia in 2003. She obtained her M.A. degree in women’s studies in 2001. She works as a Senior Psychiatrist and as a Research Coordinator of the schizophrenia group at the Research and Development Unit at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, Sant Boi, Barcelona, Spain. She is a Board Member of the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health. She has authored several scientific papers mostly related to women's mental health. She leads the research workgroup in women's mental health at the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health, and she serves as a Co-organizer of several congresses and meetings.
