Joao P. Barreiros

Joao P. Barreiros has been living in Angra do Heroísmo, Azores, since 1984, where he completed a degree in animal production. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Azores University in 1991, where he completed his M.S. degree in ethology and his Ph.D. degree in biology/animal ecology and aggregation (Full Professor requisite) in ethology. Now, Barreiros works on marine ecology, especially on predator-prey interactions and mainly on fish and cetaceans. In tropical areas, he works on predatory reptiles (Crocodilia and Serpentes). Barreiros is, furthermore, the Director of a degree course in Nature Guides and an author of several works which are detailed at http://www.degois.pt/visualizador/curriculum.jsp?key=3393523779077977.
