Dr. Daejong Kim is currently assistant professor and director of Microturbomachinery and Energy System Laboratory at The University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington TX. He earned his PhD degree from University of Texas at Austin in 2004. He was AFOSR Summer Research Fellow at US Air Force Research Laboratory in 2009~2012. His research areas are fluid film lubrication, air/gas bearings, energy systems, rotordynamics. He is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). He is in editorial board of ISRN Tribology and ASME Journal of Tribology, and a technical track chair in Fluid Film Bearing area in IJTC. He has over 50 journal and conference papers.
