Anton Plakseychuk is the Director of the UPMC Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Center and Assistant Professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He earned his Medical degree from Kazan State Medical University, Russia. Plakseychuk completed Ph.D. degree and worked under guidance of Professor G.Ilizarov for several years in Russia. Since 1995, he has been working at Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed a residency in orthopedic surgery. He is fellowship trained in hip arthroscopy, total joint replacement, computer-assisted minimally invasive orthopedic surgery, trauma, and hand surgery. Plakseychuk has more than 20 years of clinical and research experience in joint preservation, joint replacement, limb lengthening, and reconstruction. Plakseychuk has over one hundred publications and over thirty patents in the field of orthopedic surgery.
