Jik Chang Leong

Jik Chang Leong joined the National University of Science and Technology (NPUST) in 2004 as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Vehicle Engineering where he has now been promoted to a Full Professor. Prior to coming to NPUST, he was a Postdoctorate Researcher at the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. Leong received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Leong’s teaching interests include thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Leong has developed a few new courses at NPUST and won numerous teaching and mentoring recognitions and awards. Leong’s primary research interests cover the visible flow field, ventilating and smoke control of tunnel fire, heat transfer in vehicle, magnetohydrodynamics, and high concentration photovoltaic cell, with over 100 technical publications.
