Ruben de Francisco

Ruben de Francisco was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1979. He received the Telecommunications Engineering degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2003. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in electrical engineering at École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST). During the academic year 2002-2003, he did his Master Thesis at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, NJ. From September 2003 to December 2004, he was a Systems Engineer at Auna TLC, working on design of service-providing systems for telecommunication networks. From January 2005 to January 2008, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Eurécom Institute, Mobile Communications Department, in Sophia-Antipolis, France. His current research interests are scheduling for multiuser MIMO systems, precoder design in MIMO systems based on partial channel state information, and transceiver design for low-power wireless sensor networks.
