Jason Jeffries received his B.S. degree in physics from Clemson University in 2000 before obtaining his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of California, San Diego, Calif, USA, in 2007. He joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2007 and was converted to a Technical Staff Member in 2009 in the Condensed Matter and Materials Division. His research focuses on phase stability and aging in actinide materials as well as the effects of extreme conditions, specifically high pressures, on the emergent properties of strongly correlated systems.
