Joshua K. Ko

Joshua K. S. Ko was born on October 15, 1967. He received on 1987 the Ontario Secondary School Honour Graduation Diploma from Agincourt Collegiate Institute. On 1991, he received his B.Sc.(Hon) Spec. in Toxicology and Nutritional Sciences from University of Toronto. On 1995, he received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from The University of Hong Kong. His Research interest is in first, Pharmacotherapy of gastrointestinal cancers and ulcer diseases using Chinese medicinal compounds and novel chemical agents. Second, mechanistic study of the anti-carcinogenic signaling pathways of chemotherapeutic drugs, with special interest in the actions of herbal terpenoids and flavonoids. Third, pathogenesis and anti-inflammatory mechanisms of drugs and novel herbal constituents in inflammatory bowel disease and gastric ulcers.
