Prabhakar Sripadi serves as a Senior Scientist at the National Center for Mass Spectrometry, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. He was born at the 3rd of June, 1968. He received a Ph.D. degree in mass spectrometry (1993–1997), an M.S. degree in organic chemistry (1990–1992), and a B.S. degree in chemistry and biology (1986-1989) from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He has been serving as a Scientist at NCMS, IICT, Hyderabad, since 1998, and as a Senior Scientist (since 2007) at the National Centre for Mass Spectrometry, IICT, Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. He achived postdoctoral fellowship (2007–2009) at the Department of Chemistry, George Washington University, USA, and a postdoctoral fellowship (2001–2003) at Oxford Glycobiology Institute, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK. His research interests are among metabolite profiling of body fluids, protein identification and quantification by proteomics work station or 2D-LC, identification of posttranslational modifications by orthogonal digestion or de novo sequencing, protein-drug interactions studies and H-D exchange studies, the use of mass spectrometry in medicinal chemistry, chiral discrimination of enantiomers/diastereomers and measurement of enantiomeric excess, coordination chemistry and ion-molecule reactions in the gas phase, study of isomeric compounds and gas-phase rearrangements, isolation and quantification of small molecules in biological fluids (pharmacokinetics). He serves as a Life Member for the Indian society for mass spectrometry and the Indian Society for Analytical Scientists, and as an Associate Fellow of the AP Academy of Sciences, Hyderabad. His publications reach a total of 86.
