Shogo Tokuyama

Shogo Tokuyama works as a Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kobe Gakuin University, Kobe, Japan since 2000. He received his B.S. degree in pharmacology from Kyoto Pharmaceutical University, Kyoto, Japan in March 1986, M.S. degree in pharmacology from Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan in March 1988, and Ph.D. degree with the thesis "Studies on the mechanism of induction of psychological-stress-induced analgesia in mice" in pharmacology from the same university in May 1993. From 1990 to 1994, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan, from 1994 to 1996, as a Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow) at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, The University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Miss, USA, from 1996 to 1998, as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan, and from 1998 to 2002, as an Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Showa University, Tokyo, Japan. Tokuyama serves as a Member of the Society for Neuroscience, International Narcotics Research Conference, American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and Society of Toxicology.
