Luca Ramaglia

Luca Ramaglia received the M.D. and D.M.D. degrees. He works as an Associate Professor of oral surgery at the Department of Dental and Maxillo-Facial Sciences of the University of Naples “Federico II,” Naples, Italy. He serves also as a Professor at undergraduate level in dental studies and postgraduate programs in oral surgery, orthodontics, and maxillo-facial surgery. Moreover, he is the Director of a postgraduate program in implant dentistry and Head of the Section of Oral and Implant Surgery for outpatients at the University Hospital “Federico II.” He has been a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Section of Periodontics and Periodontal Research Center of the University of California at Los Angeles and then at the Department of Periodontology of the University of Goteborg. He is an active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, the Italian Society of Oral Surgery, and the European Federation of Periodontology as well as International Member of the American Academy of Periodontology. In addition, he works as an Invited Speaker at meetings and courses and is a Principal Investigator of several research projects. He is also the Author of more than 170 scientific publications, experimental and clinical, in the fields of oral surgery, implantology, and periodontology published in the leading journals at national and international levels. Ramaglia's areas of interest are oral and maxillofacial surgery, biological impact of dental materials, and periodontology.
