Thomas Marx

Thomas Marx, M.D., P.D. (Private Docent), works at the Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia, University of Ulm, Ulm, Germany. Marx studied chemistry at the University of Tuebingen, Tuebingen, Germany in 1977–1978. Between 1978 and 1985, he studied human medicine at the University of Ulm. In 1985–1986, he was a Research Fellow at the Tumor Growth Laboratory, Department of Anatomy, University of Ulm. From 1988 to 1993, Marx was a Clinical Fellow in anaesthesiology at the Department of Anaesthesiology, University of Ulm, and he worked as a Staff Anaesthesiologist from 1993 to 1999 at the same department. From 1999 to 2005, he was a Staff Anaesthesiologist at the Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia, where he was Head of Xenon Research. Since 2005, Marx is a Chief Anesthetist at Air Liquide. His clinical research focuses on cardiac anaesthesia, emergency medicine, and intensive care medicine.
