Yann Malecot

Yann Malecot has been serving as a Professor of civil engineering at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble (France) since 2009. He obtained an M.S. degree in civil engineering at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris) and another M.S. degree in solid mechanics at the Pierre-and-Marie-Curie University (Paris VI), France, in 1994. From 1995 to 1998, he was a Ph.D. student in fluid mechanics at the University of Grenoble. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at the same university. He has done his research at the Laboratory of Soils Solids Structures and Risks. His research field is the first inverse analysis in geotechnics. Since 2004, he has been working on the concrete behavior under impact.
