Suiping Zhou is currently a Reader in School of Computing at Teesside University, UK. Previoiusly, he was an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in control engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China. His research focus is on the investigation of large-scale, complex systems, which typically requires modeling, simulation, computing, and visualization. Some examples of such systems include human crowd, massively multiplayer online games, military training systems, etc. He has published extensively (over 100 peer-reviewed papers) in the major journals and conferences in his areas such as ACM Transaction on Modeling and Computer Simulation, ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, IEEE Transactions on System, Man and Cybernetics, Simulation: Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International, Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds, etc. He has been involved in organising over 30 international conferences and workshops, and has also been invited as guest speaker at several international conferences and workshops.
