Kenneth A. Foon

Kenneth A. Foon received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and was trained on internal medicine at the University of California and Georgetown University, and on hematology and oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a Professor of medicine at the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, and the Codirector of the Hematologic Malignancies Program at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. His research interests are in immunologic approaches to cancer therapy with a major focus on hematologic malignancies. He is the Associate Editor of the Translational Research Section of the Journal of Experimental Biology of Medicine, and a Member of the Editorial Boards of Cancer Biotherapy and Radiopharmaceuticals, Expert Opinion on Biological Therapy, and Clinical Cancer Research. He also serves on the advisory boards of a number of biopharmaceutical companies. He has more than 320 scientific publications in scholarly journals, and holds multiple US patents for cancer vaccines.
