Xing Li Wang

Xing Li Wang, MD, PhD, FAHA, FACC, is an adjunct Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute, where he was responsible for several NIH sponsored basic and clinical studies. He is past recipient of AHA Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association. He is currently also an adjunct scientist in the Department of Genetics, Texas Biomedical Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, and involved in baboon atherosclerosis research program. After graduating with MD degree from Shandong Medical College in China, Xing Li received clinical cardiology training in Australia. He also had a PhD from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in cardiovascular medicine. His academic research focused on cardiovascular genetics, endothelial biology and stem cells. He published more than 180 peer-reviewed papers during his career.
