J. M A M van Neerven
J. M A M van Neerven received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands, 1992. After spending a postdoctoral year at California Institute of Technology, he won an EU Human Capital and Mobility stipend for a two-year postdoctoral stay at the University of Tuebingen. In 1996, he won an Academy Fellowship at the University of Delft, where he was tenured in 1998. In 2007, he was appointed Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Professor at the same university. He authored two research monographs The adjoint of a Semigroup of Linear Operators: Springer Lecture Notes in Mathematics (volume 1529, 1992) and Asymptotic Behaviour of Semigroups of Linear Operators, OT Series (volume 88, Birkhauser, 1996). His fields of interest include functional analysis, evolution equations, and stochastic analysis in Banach spaces.
