Kazutaka G. Nakamura

Kazutaka G. Nakamura received the B.S. degree (physics) from Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan in 1984 and the Dr. Eng. degree (nuclear engineering) from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 1989. He was a Research Scientist (from 1989 to 1994) and a Senior Researcher (from 1994 to 1998) at National Research Institute for Metals, Japan and also a Visiting Researcher (from 1992 to 1993) at the Department of Chemistry, Stanford University, USA. Nakamura has been an Associate Professor (since 1998) at Materials and Structure Laboratory and Department of Innovative and Engineered Materials, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His present research interests are in ultrafast spectroscopy and coherent control in condensed matter.
