Sevil Dinçer received her B.S. degree in chemistry and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in bioengineering from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. She has been a visiting graduate student at University of Washington. Her Ph.D. degree thesis focused on inorganic-specific peptide selection by phage display and its light-sensitive nanohybrids. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at Yildiz Technical University for 5 years and has got her Associate Professor title in 2012 on biomaterials. She has focused on amphiphilic polymers, drug/gene carriers, smart polymers, skin tissue engineering scaffolds, and wound dressing materials. She has 19 publications in SCI/SCI-Exp journals and about 500 citations. She has been working in Abdullah Gul University, on materials science and nanotechnology.
