Paul C. Dechow has a Postdoctoral Fellowship in craniofacial biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA from 1981 to 1984, Ph.D. degree in anatomy from the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA (1980), and B.A. degree in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA (1975). He is a Professor and Vice Chair at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry since 2004. Dechow’s research interests are broadly concerned with the growth, adaptation, and evolution of the craniofacial skeleton and related soft tissues. Throughout his career, he has addressed this area through a variety of biomechanical, material, and morphologic approaches. His early work focused on comparative and morphometric studies of craniofacial form and physiological studies of the muscles of mastication.
