Vincenzo Lapenna is a Senior Researcher, the Director of the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis of CNR (IMAA-CNR), and the President of CNR Research Area of Potenza. His research activity has been mainly devoted to the development and integration of noninvasive electromagnetic techniques for geohazard monitoring and environmental applications. He has served as an Associate Editor for the Landslide Journal and as a Referee for many top-leading national and international journals (Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters, Natural Hazard, Tectonophysics, Journal of Applied Geophysics, Engineering Geology, etc.). He was the coordinator of more than 25 national and international projects and promoted many workshops and/or sessions in the frame of international conferences. Furthermore, he has devoted great attention to the dissemination of scientific results and technological transfer and was acting as the coordinator of many industrial research projects of national interest. He is an active Member of the Electrical and Magnetic Methods for Seismology and Volcanology (EMSEV) working group and a Member of the European Geoscience Union (EGU), the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the European Association of Exploration Geophysicists and Engineers (EAGE), and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
