Fan Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in 2008 from the Fudan University, China, followed by more than 2 years postdoctoral experience from 2008 to 2010 from the prestigious, world leading laboratories at the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, (Galen. D. Stucky’s group) before joining as an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department of the Fudan University in 2010. His research interest includes inorganic luminescent and magnetic multifunctional nanocrystal and nanostructured materials and applications of inorganic luminescent and nanostructured materials in biomedicine, such as in vivo and in vitro bioimaging, drug storage and release, gene transfection, and early cancer diagnosis and therapy. Zhang has authored and coauthored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in international journals with the high impact factors, that is to say, the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Nano, and Chemistry-A Europe Journal.
