Nawab Ali received his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Science, College of Science, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Ark, USA. His academic interests are biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and biotechnology. Ali teaches biochemistry of biological molecules, signal transduction and regulation of cell function, microbiology, and recombinant DNA technology. His research interests include understanding receptor‐mediated signal transduction and intracellular signaling mechanisms in relation to environmental changes or in disease states. Ali is particularly interested in understanding the role of inositol phosphates in the regulation of cellular processes including apoptosis in relation to cancer development, diagnosis, and treatment.
