Piotr Rybka received Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the New York University, New York, USA, in 1990, and the M.S. degree in mathematics from Warsaw University, Warsaw, Poland, in 1984. Rybka is Full Professor at Warsaw University, Warsaw, Poland, since 2011. Rybka is a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn, USA; Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland; CINVESTAV, Mexico City, Mexico. His current scientific interests include differential equations, calculus of variations, singular mean curvature flow, total variation flow, and Stefan type problem (free boundary problems).
