Vyacheslav Futorny

Vyacheslav Futorny was born in Russia in 1961. He received his Ph.D. degree from Kiev Taras Shevchenko University, Kiev, Ukraine in 1987 and the Habilitation degree (D.S. degree) from the same University in 1995. In 1986-1997, he worked at Kiev University first as an Assistant Professor and then as an Associate Professor. In 1992-1993, he was NSERC Fellow at Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. Since 1998, he works at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo. Currently, he serves as a Professor Titular. His main research interests include Lie algebras, representation theory, and noncommutative algebra.
