Yuegang Zuo received his Ph.D. degree in environmental sciences from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), Zurich, Switzerland. He is now a Full Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, North Dartmouth, MA, USA, and University of Massachusetts Graduate School for Marine Science and Technology, New Bedford, MA, USA. His research interests are interdisciplinary, including chemical separation and identification, analytical, aquatic, marine, and atmospheric chemistry, and environmental microbiology. Most of his research work has focused on field measurements and quantitative kinetic experiments to study the occurrence, distribution, sources, transformation, bioeffects, and fate of organic pollutants, especially photochemical and nanoparticle catalyzed degradation of organic pollutants such as endocrine disrupting chemicals and other persistent toxic substances.
