Silvia Prati holds a degree in chemistry, a Ph.D. degree in environmental science, and an executive M.S. degree in business admistration. She is currently a Researcher of environmental and cultural heritage chemistry at the University of Bologna. Her research activities are devoted to the application of spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques for the characterization of artistic and archaeological objects. She is a Member of the Steering Committee of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage Chemistry Division, Italian Chemical Society. She is involved in several projects in the field of science applied to cultural heritage supported both by the Italian Ministry for Research and by the European Commission. She has also been involved in the scientific and organizing committees of different national and international congresses. She is the author of more than 40 papers in international and national journals, and she attended to more than 40 international and national congresses.
