Michalis Konsolakis serves as an Assistant Professor of heterogeneous catalysis and surface science at the Department of Sciences, the Technical University of Crete, Greece. He has received his Ph.D. degree in environmental catalysis from the Department of Chemical Engineering, the University of Patras, Greece, in 2001. Part of his Ph.D. degree was carried out in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, on the framework of Greek-British Joint Research and Technology Program. His research activities lie mainly in the areas of environmental catalysis, electrocatalysis, promotion in catalysis, materials science, and surface science with particular emphasis on structure-activity relationship. His published work includes more than 60 papers in high impact international journals (31) and conference proceedings (33) as well as 1 book in the area of applied chemistry. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the journal Research and Reviews in Material Science and Chemistry. He also serves as a regular reviewer in several scientific journals and research funding agencies, while he is/was a Member at the organizing and scientific committees of international and national conferences.
