Ali El Hajj received the License degree in physics from the Lebanese University, Tripoli, Lebanon, in 1979; the Ingénieur degree from L'Ecole Superieure d'Electricite, Rennes, France, in 1981; and the Docteur Ingénieur degree from the University of Rennes I, Rennes, France, in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, El Hajj was with the Electrical Engineering Department at the Lebanese University. In 1987, he joined the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon, where he currently works as a Professor of electrical and computer engineering. His research interests are numerical solutions of electromagnetic field problems, antennas, and propagation and spreadsheet applications to engineering problems.
