Dae-Kyoo Kim works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Oakland University, Mich, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Colorado State University in 2004, his M.S. in computer science from Western Michigan University in 1997, and the B.E.E. in information and communication engineering from Myongji University in 1995. During pursing his Ph.D., he worked as a Technical Specialist at NASA\Ames Research Center in 2003. From 1997 till 2000, he worked at McHugh Software International as a Senior Software Engineer, developing logistics systems. His research interests include UML modeling, design pattern formalization, model refactoring, aspect-oriented modeling, software architecture modeling, access control modeling, and formal methods. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Computer Society.
