Qi Yang
Qi Yang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in metallic materials from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, China in 1987 and 1989, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in materials engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada in 2000. He joined Structures and Materials Performance Laboratory, Institute for Aerospace Research, National Research Council Canada (NRC) in 2000. Presently, he is a Research Officer at NRC, with a main research interest in developing advanced coatings for aerospace applications. His expertise is in materials characterizations, surface engineering, nanostructured coatings, hard coatings for tribological applications, corrosion and applied electrochemistry, and physical vapor deposition technologies.
