W. John Rogers
W. John Rogers holds M.A. degree (Cantab) in Natural Sciences, and a Ph.D. (Birmingham, UK) in Genetics. He works currently as Professor of genetics and breeding in the Departamento de Ciencias Básicas Agronómicas y Biológicas (Department of Basic Agronomic and Biological Sciences) at the Facultad de Agronomí a, Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Faculty of Agronomy, National University of the Centre of the Province of Buenos Aires) and Career Researcher of CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cientí ficas y Técnicas, National Council for Scientific and Technological Research) of Argentina, working in the Laboratory BIOLAB AZUL (CICPBA, CONICET-INBA-CEBB). He is specialized in crop genetics and breeding of cereals and grassland species, particularly the genetics of quality in wheat and the genetics of tolerance to abiotic stresses.
