Xurong Xu

Xurong Xu was born in Lishui, Zhejiang, China in 1971. He obtained his B.S. degree of chemistry from Shandong University in July 1994 and an M.S. degree of applied chemistry from Zhejiang University in March 1997. He gained his Ph.D. degree of polymer science and engineering at Zhejiang University working with Professor Linxian Feng in the relationship of structure and properties of metallocened polyethylene. From 2000 to 2002, he worked as a Postdoctor at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering in Peking University. In August 2002, he joined Polymer Interface and Adhesion Lab and Professor Cho’s group in Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Korea as a Postdoctor and Research Professor. In December 2005, he became an Associate Professor of chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University. He is working on the following topics: biomineralization, interface chemistry, and control of crystallization with polymer additives.
