Kuo-Yung Hung was born in 1975 in Miaoli, Taiwan. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering, Department from Feng-Chia University, Taiwan in 1997, and the M.S. degree from the Institute of Electrical Engineering in Feng-Chia University, Taiwan, in 1999. In 2004, he received his Ph.D. degree in engineering and system science from the Tsing-Hua University. After one year staying LCD Process Technology, Division, LC Technology Department, AU Optronics Corporation, as a Senior Engineer working on a new LCD technology, he serves currently as an Associate professor with Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Ming-Chi University of Technology from 2009. His research interests are in the fields of bio-optic MEMS, micro-optical pickup head and micro-optical MEMS. He received 17 patents, have published more than 20 journal papers, and chaired in several international conferences. He received best paper awards of Formosa Plastics Conference in 2008 and 2010 and he leads the team to get the Special Award on 1st International Contest of Applications in Nano-Micro Technology (iCAN’ 2009).
