Dipak P. Ramji
Dipak P. Ramji received his B.S. (with honors) degree in biochemistry in 1984 and his Ph.D. degree in 1988 from The University of Leeds. This was followed by postdoctoral research at the European Molecular Biology Laboratories (Heidelberg) and Istituto di Ricerche di Biologia Molecolare “P. Angeletti” (Rome) on the regulation of liver-specific gene expression during inflammation. He was a recipient of fellowships from the Royal Society and the EU. He serves currently as a Reader at Cardiff School of Biosciences, Cardiff University. His research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the cytokine regulated expression of key genes implicated in inflammation and cardiovascular disease. He has published over 100 articles on cell signaling and gene regulation in relation to atherosclerosis and inflammation.
