Jose I. Mayordomo
Jose I. Mayordomo was born in Zaragoza, Spain, in 1964. He received the M.D. degree and the Ph.D. degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 1987 and 1991, respectively. From 1989 to 1992, he was a Fellow of medical oncology at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. From 1993 to 1995, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. In 1994, he was awarded an ASCO Young Investigator Award. In 1995, he joined the Division of Medical Oncology of the University Hospital in Zaragoza, Spain, where he works currently as an Associate Chief and as an Associate Professor. His main areas of interest are cancer immunotherapy, the development of novel anticancer therapies, and the identification of genetic variants associated to increased incidence of cancer.
