Cynthia Castro is a native of California, USA. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Stanford University in 1992, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a Behavioral Medicine specialization in 1997 from the University of Califoria, San Diego/San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program. Since 1997, Dr. Castro has been a social scientist at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow, then as a Research Associate, and now as a Senior Research Scholar. Dr. Castro is a member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and has served as Co-Chair of the Physical Activity Special Interest Group. She is on the Editorial Board of Health Psychology, Journal of Aging and Physical Activity, and ISRN Public Health.
