Mark LaBarge is a Biologist Staff Scientist of the Life Science Division at the Ernst Orlando Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, Calif, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree in molecular pharmacology at the Stanford University and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Mina Bissell. Dr. LaBarge now directs a laboratory studying the human mammary gland stem cell biology in the context of the aging process. He is a leading expert in the field of microenvironment-directed stem cell behavior.
