Chengshuai Liu serves currently as a Professor in environmental chemistry in Guangdong Institute of Eco-Environmental and Soil Sciences, Guangdong, China, and acts as the Head of the Research Central of Contamination Control and Remediation. He serves also as an Adjunct Professor in Wuhan Textile University, Wuhan, China. He obtained his B.Eng. degree from the Wuhan University in environmental engineering in 2001 and a Ph.D. degree in environmental science from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 2007. He then worked for two years at the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, as a Postdoctoral Fellow and worked for one year at The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, USA, as a Visiting Scholar. He has authored or coauthored over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications. His research interests include geochemical processes of pollutants in soils and groundwater, the chemical behaviors of pollutants on the surface of soil minerals, and advanced oxidation process of organic pollutants.
