Chengshuai Liu serves currently as an Associate Professor in environmental chemistry in Guangdong Institute of Eco-Environmental and Soil Sciences and acts as the Head of the Research Central of Contamination Control and Remediation. He serves also as an Adjunct Professor in Wuhan Textile University in China. He obtained his B.Eng. degree from Wuhan University in environmental engineering in 2001 and Ph.D. degree in environmental science from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. He then worked for two years at the University of Hong Kong as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He has authored or coauthored over 40 peer-reviewed journal publications. His research interests include geochemical processes of pollutants in soils and groundwater, the chemical behaviors of pollutants on the surface of soil minerals, and advanced oxidation process of organic pollutants.
