Dumitru Baleanu obtained his M.S. degree from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania, and his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Atomic Physics, Bucharest, Romania. He worked as a Postdoc Researcher for two years at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, JINR, Dubna, Russia. Baleanu joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences of the Faculty of Art and Sciences at Cankaya University, Ankara, Turkey, in February 2000. In 2006, he became a Professor at the Institute of Space Sciences, Bucharest, Romania. Baleanu has written more than 340 papers published in journals indexed in SCI. He is a member of several editorial boards, and his h-index is 27. His research interests include fractional dynamics and its applications, fractional differential equations, and the wavelet method and its applications.
