Gabriele Steidl
Gabriele Steidl received her Ph.D. degree in mathematics in 1988 and her Habilitation degree in mathematics in 1991, both from the University of Rostock, Germany. During this period, she worked several times as a Visiting Researcher at the Banach Center, Warsaw, Poland. In 1987, she served as a Researcher at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and in 1991 at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. From 1993 to 1996, she held a position as an Assistant Professor of applied mathematics at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. From 1996 to 2010, she worked at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Mannheim, Germany. In 2009, she served as a Visiting Researcher at the ENS in Cachan, Paris, France. In 2011, she will move to the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Her research interests include numerical analysis with applications in image processing.
