Alain Hazotte

Alain Hazotte was born in Briey, France, in the 8th of April, 1956. Hazotte works as a Materials Scientist. In 2000, he got Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL, Nancy, France) and the Ph.D. degree from INPL in 1983. Currently, he works as a Fist Class Full Professor in materials science at Lorraine University, Metz, France, Vice Director of the Laboratoire d’Etude des Microstructures et de Mécanique des Matériaux (LEM3; CNRS Laboratory, about 150 people), and Group Leader of the LEM3 research group Transformations, Texture, Topology and Anisotropy of Materials (3TAM; 12 permanents, and about 15 students). His current research topics are phase transformations in metallic alloys, experiments, theory, and modeling; relations between process, microstructure, and mechanical properties; image analysis and quantitative microscopy.
