Chieh-Liang Wu is the Chief of the Division of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy at the Department of Internal Medicine, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan. He is also an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine at China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan. Dr. Wu obtained his M.D. degree in 1988 from the School of Medicine at National Yang-Ming Medical College and completed his training in Taiwan. He worked as a Research Fellow at Winthrop-University Hospital of the State University of New York, USA, from 1999 to 2000. He also obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Life Science, National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan, in 2009. His major research interests include VAP, CAP, HCAP, biomarkers in ICU, acute lung injury, ARDS, and RDS.
