Vivian G. Valdmanis

I am a professor of health policy and public health and have performed research in the areas of hospital and patient based care, both nationally and internationally. I have evaluated eye screening and treatment in Tanzania, Belize, Mongolia, and Brazil and have published widely in the fields of diabetes care and hospital and health care productivity. I have presented papers internationally and published extensively in the fields of hospital productivity and efficiency. I co-edited a book Blank, JLT and V. Valdmanis (2008) “Productivity in Hospital Industry” Evaluating Hospital Policy and Performance: Contributions from Hospital Policy and PFrom this background, I add the value of economic analysis and cost study to this project as well as methodological rigor from over 25 years of publishing. I also am an affiliate professor with Iéseg School of Management in Lille and Paris, France and have taught at the Delft Technological University in Delft, The Netherlands I received my Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University, a Masters of Public Policy Studies from The University of Michigan, and my Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.
