Marius‐F. Danca received his B.S. degree in mathematics, in 1980, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Babeş‐Bolyai University of Cluj‐Napoca, Romania, and the B.S. degree in engineering, in 1986, from the Faculty of Electronics, Technical University of Cluj‐Napoca, Romania. In 1997, he received his Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science, Technical University of Cluj‐Napoca, and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Babeş‐Bolyai University, in 2002. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Avram‐Iancu University of Cluj‐Napoca and is affiliated with the Romanian Institute of Science and Technology of Cluj‐Napoca. He is a Member of the Editorial Boards of other four scientific journals (the International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems ‐ Series S, Dynamics of Continuous, Discrete and Impulsive Systems ‐ Series B, and the Journal of Nonlinear Systems and Applications) and served as Reviewer for 25 ISI journals. He is (or was) a Member of the Centre for Chaos and Complex Networks, Sigma Xi Romania, Romanian Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics (ROMAI), Ad Astra (An Online Project for the Romanian Scientific Community), and the International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts, Institut Normand Pluridisciplinaire des Systèmes Complexes. His research interest includes nonlinear dynamics: time series analysis, chaotic dynamics of continuous/discontinuous nonlinear dynamical systems of integer or fractional order, chaos control, anticontrol, and fractals.
