Robert Maki, Ph.D., serves as a Professor of medicine, pediatrics, and orthopaedics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY, USA, where he was appointed as the Director of the Adult and Pediatric Sarcoma Program at the Tisch Cancer Institute and as the Chief and Steven Ravitch Chair of the Jack Martin Fund Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Mount Sinai. He was trained in New York and Boston before returning to New York, where he has now spent the last 25 years in basic science or clinical research involving sarcomas. He is particularly interested in examination of novel agents in different sarcoma subtypes as well as clinical trial design and translational research into mechanisms of sarcoma development.
