Ourari Ali was born in 1949, Algeria. He studied organic chemistry at Algiers University from 1972 to 1976. He did postgraduate studies from 1978 to 1982 in molecular chemistry (synthesis) at Nice University, France, where he obtained his M.A. degree. Since 1982, he has been working as a Lecturer at Setif University, Algeria. From 1991 to 1995, he studied for and obtained the Ph.D. degree at Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble, France, in electrochemistry in the Laboratory of George Cauquis, and he returned to Setif University at the end of 1995, where he has served as a Lecturer of organic chemistry and physicochemical methods until present.
