Christophe Len
Christophe Len received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Picardie-Jules Verne (UPJV) in Amiens (France) under the supervision of Professor P. Villa in the field of carbohydrate chemistry. In 1996, he joined Doctor G. Mackenzie’s group at the University of Hull (UK) as a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on the synthesis of nucleoside analogues. In 1997, he became a Maitre de Conferences at the Laboratoire des Glucides of UPJV and worked on the chemistry of antiviral nucleoside analogues specializing on those with novel glycone systems. In 2003, he received his Habilitation degree and was promoted to a Full Professor in 2004 at the University of Poitiers (France). For 2008, he had a secondment to the University of Compiègne (UTC) (France) as a Head of organic chemistry, and he was the Research Director of the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Organique et Minérale (ESCOM) (France). In 2010, he became a Full Professor at the University of Compiègne (UTC) (France). His current main research interests are in the total synthesis of natural products and bioactive molecules and green chemistry, which include carbohydrates, and catalysis in aqueous solution. He has published over 74 research papers, 1 patent, and 2 chapters.
